Donna K. (Dent) Farver

Donna K. (Dent) Farver, age 82, of Sawmill Road, Bloomsburg (Lightstreet) passed away early Thursday, October 26, 2023, at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville where she was a patient.

Born in Lightstreet on January 31, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Charles H. Sr. and Audrey J. (Rarich) Dent. She was a 1958 graduate of Central Columbia High School.

Donna was the organist at the Lightstreet United Methodist Church for many years. She was employed at Bloomsburg University for 20 years, retiring in 2001. She and her husband spent several winters in New Smyrna Beach, Florida following their retirement.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne R. Farver, Sr. on November 16, 2017; a brother Charles H. “Chic” Dent, Jr and his wife Barbara and son Charles H. “Chuck” Dent, III.

Donna is survived by her son, Wayne R. Farver., Jr and his wife Lori of Orangeville; a daughter Brenda J. Farver of Conn.; four grandsons: Austin Farver, Aaron Farver and his significant other, Kenzie Ade, Alec Farver and Ben Kostes; a sister LuAnn, wife of Albert Everitt of Orangeville; a brother Rick Dent and his wife Peggy of Mifflinville and several nieces and nephews. Her best friend and pet was her dog, “Jack”.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no funeral services.
