Donna J. Queen, age 60, 1103 Cherry Hill Road, Bloomsburg, died at 7:30 p. m. Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where she was admitted Saturday. She was in failing health for several years.
Born in Salem, New Jersey on April 12, 1956, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary (DeYulis) Yucis. She was a 1974 graduate of St. James High School, Carneys Point, New Jersey.
Donna resided in Bloomsburg since February, 1989 and previously lived in New Jersey.
She was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church, Bloomsburg.
Donna enjoyed spending time at her summer home in Sea Isle City, New Jersey, spending time with her family and friends, especially her three grandchildren. She loved to cook for her family.
Surviving are her husband, Michael H. Queen, with whom she celebrated her 30th wedding anniversary on May 10, 2016; three sons: Ryan M. Murphy, and his wife Virginia, Wilmington, Del.; Adam S. Murphy, and his wife Amy, Pottstown; Michael D. Queen, at home; a daughter, Alison V. Queen, Fishersville, Va.; three grandchildren: Emily Murphy; Mia Murphy; Khloe Murphy; and a sister, Linda, wife of William Ferrelli, Glassboro, New Jersey.
Memorial services will be held in New Jersey in the near future.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
