Donna J. Sheehan, age 57, 2701 Fourth Ave., N, St. Petersburg, Florida died at 1:29 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at the Bayfront Health Hospital, St. Petersburg, where she was a patient for six days. She was in failing health for four years.
Born in Bloomsburg, PA on July 15, 1956, she was a daughter of the late William M. and Edna Arthena (Lawton) Davis. She resided in St. Petersburg for the past 34 years and previously lived in Danville, PA.
Donna was a graduate of the St. Petersburg Vocational Technical Institute in 1983 with a degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). She was last employed as an administrator by JSA Medical Group, St. Petersburg, working there for 12 years, retiring due to her health problems in 2010. Earlier she was employed by the St. Petersburg General Hospital as a LPN for 16 years.
Donna loved to read, go camping, boating, traveling and cooking. She especially looked forward to the time spent at family gatherings; attending the Florida State Fair and the Bloomsburg Fair when visiting in Pennsylvania.
Surviving is her husband, John P. Sheehan, with whom she celebrated her 20th wedding anniversary on June 4th; two daughters: Carrie L. Erlston and Beth Ann, wife of Douglas K. Thompson, both of St. Petersburg; three grandsons: Alex, Damian and Chayton Thompson; a brother, Harvey Davis, and his wife Diane, Danville, PA; three sisters: Shirley, wife of Charles Mordan, Norristown, PA; Evelyn, wife of Frank Ryan, Mount Carmel, PA; Linda, wife of Gary Heddings, Northumberland, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by nine siblings.
Funeral services will be held from the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1715 Bloom Road, Danville, PA on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 11 a.m. The Rev.. Dr. Harry H. Wonderland, Jr., pastor of First Baptist Church, Danville, will officiate. Interment will be in Columbia Hill Cemetery, Danville. Viewing from 10 to 11 a.m.
Florida memorial services will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until 3: 00 p.m. at the Ocean Ponds Hotel., 5005 34th Street, North, St. Petersburg, FL.
