Doris A. Adams

Doris A. (Snyder) Adams, age 79, of 2480 Second St., Bloomsburg (Espy) died at her home at 7:28 p. m. Monday, October 1, 2018 after having been in ill health since 2009.

Born on July 31, 1939 in Hughesville, she was a daughter of the late Domer and Edna (Spireman) Snyder. She resided in the Bloomsburg area for over 50 years.

Doris was last employed at the former Bloomsburg Mills, Inc., retiring in 2002. Earlier she was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the former Dent Nursing Home in Scott Township for 13 years.

Her hobby was collecting salt and pepper shakers and she amassed a large collection. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles, working in her flowers beds and taking bus trips to Atlantic City.

Doris was preceded in death by a son, Michael Schrader, and a brother, Donald Snyder.

Surviving are her husband, Wayne F. Adams, with whom she would have celebrated 52 years of marriage on November 18, 2018; a daughter, Melinda Dawson, and her fiance, Lonnie Gordner, Sr., Unityville;  four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Wilt, Catawissa.

Doris requested that there be no funeral services or viewing.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
