Doyle Z. Winn, age 85, 118 Fir Street, Orangeville (Stony Brook Circle) died at his home on Monday, December 18, 2017.
Born in Bloomsburg on April 5, 1932, he was a son of the late Zender D. and Florine G. (DeWald) Winn. He resided in Stony Brook Circle for the past year and previously lived in Milton for 10 years. The remainder of his life he resided in the Bloomsburg area.
Doyle served as the Scott Township Police Chief from 1973 to 1994 when he retired.
He was a member of Washington Lodge 264, F & AM; Caldwell Consistory.; was a life member of Susquehanna Valley Lodge 52 of the Fraternal Order of Police.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Bankes.
Doyle is survived by three children: Patricia M., wife of Ralph C. Herrold, Bloomsburg; Maxwell D. Winn, and his wife Donna, Millville; Dennis W. Winn, and his wife Nina, Nescopeck; five grandchildren: Crystal Tarlecky, Matthew Winn, Angela Winn, Stacy Price, Jeremy Winn; numerous great grandchildren; and a sister, Charlotte Thomas, Bloomsburg.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a. m. in Elan Memorial Park, 5595 Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg (Lime Ridge). At his request there will be no viewing.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
