Dr. W. Michael Perrige, Jr., DDS

Dr. W. Michael Perrige, Jr., DDS, 72, of Bloomsburg died early Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Philadelphia on July 20, 1952, he was a son of the late Dr. William M. Perrige, MD and Ruth (Breazeale) Perrige. His early life was spent in Bloomsburg and he returned four and one half years ago after living in Woodbury, New Jersey for 27 years.

He was a 1970 graduate of Central Columbia High School and a 1974 graduate of Villanova University. He received his dental degree from Temple University.

Dr. Perrige practiced dentistry in Philadelphia for several years before moving to New Jersey where he practiced in Gibbstown for 27 years.

He was a Catholic by faith.

Dr. Perrige was a Philadelphia sports fan, especially of the Phillies and also of the Villanova basketball team. He was also an avid golfer and loved to travel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James V. Perrige, in June, 2020.

Surviving is his former wife, Sharon Perrige and a daughter Tara Perrige of Winston Salem, North Carolina; two sisters: Nancy H., wife of Tim Shellenberger of Hershey and Anne E. Perrige of Geigertown and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 3 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg. Rev, Frances Tamburro will officiate. Interment will follow in New Rosemont Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 2-3 p.m.
