Duane R. Breisch, Sr.
Duane R. Breisch, Sr., age 73, 97 Tunnel Road, Bloomsburg, died at 3:30 a. m. Sunday, January 13, 2013, at the Geisinger-Bloomsburg Health Care Center where he was admitted Saturday. He was seriously ill for three weeks.
Born in Main Township on April 8, 1939, he was a son of the late Norman and Cordelia (Probst) Breisch. He was a 1957 graduate of Bloomsburg High School.
Duane resided in Virginia for 38 years until returning to Bloomsburg in 1997
He.was employed by SSI Security, Langley, Va. for 13 years until retiring in 1997. Earlier he was employed by Braniff Airlines for 31 years.
Duane was a member of the Moose Lodge in Herndon, Va. and an avid hunter.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Breisch and a sister, Helen Yutko.
Surviving are two sons: Duane R. Breisch, Jr., and his wife Susan, Springfield, Va.; James Andrew Bresich, and his wife Kelly, Brandy Station, Va.; a daughter, Amy June, wife of Francis O'Reilly, Fredericksburg, Va; two step-sons: Michael Ray Riley, and his wife Rosalie, Sterling, Va.; and Timothy Scott Riley, and his wife Carla, Sheffield Lake, Ohio; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; two sisters: Pearl Bolinsky and Linda Kessler, both of Bloomsburg; and three brothers: James "Jimmy" Breisch, and his wife Nancy, Bloomsburg; Kenneth Breisch, New Castle, Del.; Norman Breisch, and his wife Veronica, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing.
Arrangements have been entusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
