E. Louise Westover, age 79, 1111 Ridge Road, Bloomsburg, died at 8:24 a. m. Friday, February 3, 2017 at the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, where she was a patient for three days. She had been in failing health since July.
Born on December 13, 1937 in Turbotville, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Edna (Moser) Dildine. She resided in Bloomsburg for over 50 years.
Louise was a 1955 graduate of the former North-Mont High School, Turbotville.
Early in her life she was employed at the former AC & F Co. plant in Milton for a number of years.
Louise was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, Bloomsburg; the Miquon Chapter, Daughters of the American Colonists, Bloomsburg; and the Watsontown Chapter 282, Order of Eastern Star.
For many years she served on the board of directors of the former Columbia County Unit of the American Cancer Society. She was honored by the group in 1986 when she received the Ray J. Calabrese Award in recognition of her service.
Louise’s interest was genealogy and she spent many hours researching her family tree.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Victor A. Westover on July 20, 2010.
Louise is survived by her daughter, Leigh D., wife of Todd Lavigne, Harrisburg; her son, Lynn W. Westover, and his wife Lori, Doylestown; two grandchildren: Courtney R. Westover and Shane M. Westover, Doylestown; and a brother, Gary Dildine, and his wife Carol, Fernando Beach, Fla.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 11 a. m. in St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9 St. Luke Way, Bloomsburg, with interim pastor, Rev. John E. Fenton officiating. Interment in Lightstreet “Highland” Cemetery. Viewing will be on Thursday from 6-8 p. m. at the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg or at the Church on Friday after 10 a. m. Eastern Star memorial services will be held on Friday at 9:45 a. m.
