EARL R. VanDINE

Earl R. VanDine, age 73, Bloomsburg, died at his home on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 6:30 p. m. after a brief illness.

Born in Montoursville on January 30, 1936, he was the only child of the late Earl H. and Velma I. (Raup) VanDine. He resided in the Bloomsburg area most of his life and was a 1953 graduate of Bloomsburg High School.

Earl was employed for 25 years by PPL Electric Utilities, retiring in 1994.

He was a member of the Bloomsburg Christian Church and attended the Rohrsburg Christian Church.

Earl served with the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

Surviving are his wife, the former Patricia E. Beishline, with whom he celebrated his 53rd wedding anniversary on October 2, 2008; three children: Robert E. VanDine, and his wife Karen, Millville; Denise G. VanDine, Austin, Texas; Michael D. VanDine, and his wife Denise, Bloomsburg; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family, followed by interment in Rohrsburg Cemetery, with Mark A. Stoker, retired pastor of the Rohrsburg Christian Church officiating. There will be no calling hours.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
