Edith L. Kremser, age 72, 131 Main St., Catawissa, died at 11:49 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where she had been a patient since Feb. 20. She was injured in an automobile accident on PA Route 487 in Catawissa Township.
Born in Bloomsburg on Sept. 3, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Martha (Law) Huntington. She resided in Catawissa for most of her life.
Edith was employed as a nursing aide at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville earlier in life.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Catawissa VFW Post 8306.
Edith was preceded in death by a son, John Shultz.
Surviving is her husband, Larry B. Kremser, with whom she would have celebrated her 27th wedding anniversary on June 25, 2011; a daughter, Carol C. âChrisâ VonBlohn, Catawissa; three grandchildren: Charles E. Hurley, Jr., Bloomsburg; Chelsea A. VonBlohn, Danville; and Jacob P. VonBlohn, Danville; and by a step-sister, Martha Brophy.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with Rev. Allen F. Acor, pastor of the Hendrickson-Mooresburg United Methodist Churches, officiating. Interment in Hillside Cemetery, Catawissa. Friends may call from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday.
