Edna M. (Keller) Makara, age 85, 585 Scotch Valley Road, Bloomsburg died at her home at 4:40 a. m. Friday, January 29, 2021 after an illness.

Born in Black Creek Township, Luzerne County on November 5, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Marvin and Malinda (Sherman) Keller. She spent her early years in Mountain Grove and later lived  in Mainville. In 1972 she moved to her present home in Beaver Township.

Edna was employed at the former Fulton Lamp Factory in Berwick and later at the former Bloom Mills, Bloomsburg until it closed. She was last employed at the former Bernardi Foods plant in Bloomsburg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Merlin S. Keller and Jackson H. Keller and by two sisters, Betty D. Fisher and Barbara Jean John.

Surviving is her husband, Daniel T. Makara, with whom she observed 63 years of marriage on June 29, 2020 and two sons, Daniel J. Makara and Dennis D. Makara, all of Bloomsburg; four sisters: Helen Longenberger, Fern Armstrong, Mary Cool, Minnie Hess, all of Bloomsburg and a number of nieces and nephews.

There will be no funeral services.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
