Edward C. Smith, Jr

Edward C. Smith, Jr., age 32, of Catherine Street, Bloomsburg, died in Bloomsburg on Wednesday, March 10, 2021.

Born in Washington, D. C. on June 18, 1988, he was the son of Vera L. (Taylor) Carranza-Argueta of Washington D. C. and Edward C. Smith of Rocky Mount, North Carolina. His early life was spent in Bloomsburg where he attended the Bloomsburg Schools and after moving to Maryland, he graduated from Potomac High School, Temple Hill, Maryland in 2007.

Edward was employed in home repair service.

 Surviving in addition to his parents is a daughter, Jaylin Marie Smith, of Bloomsburg; six siblings: twins, Terrey J. Smith and his wife Bailey and Terrel J. Smith, and his wife Bethany, Lauren Smith, Dylan Smith, Zaiden Temple, all of Bloomsburg, Neyke Jackson, Raleigh, North Carolina; his maternal grandmother, Cynthia Taylor and his paternal grandmother, Verdina Smith, both of Washington D. C. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at 2 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with a viewing from 1-2 p. m.
