Elaine O. Hock
Elaine O. Hock, age 86, Tucson, Ariz. and formerly of Dahl Road, Bloomsburg, died at 5:20 p. m. Sunday, November 18, 2012, at the Crossroads, an assisted living facility, in Tucson.
Born in Sheboygan, Wis. on Feb. 5, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Joe and Mildred A (Zweiner) McNeal. She resided on Dahl Road for 31 years before moving to the Meadows at Maria Joseph Manor, Danville in 2002. In 2006 she moved to Tucson to be near her daughter.
Elaine was a 1944 graduate of Bloomsburg High School.
She was a switchboard operator at Bloomsburg State College from 1965 to 1971 and was last employed by the Lear Sigler Co., Bloomsburg for seven years.
Elaine was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Bloomsburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Horace H. "Tinker" Hock on July 8, 2002; by a daughter, Sharon E. Gower Derr and a step-daughter, Dixie M. Bardo.
Surviving is a daughter, Karen, wife of Charles Kelsey, Tucson, Ariz.; a step-daughter, Delores I "Renee", wife of Richard Nichols, Bloomsburg; three step-sons: Terry W. Hock, and his wife Patti, Bloomsburg; Gary M. Hock, Santa Barbara, Calif.; Timothy J. Hock, Durham, N.C.; a granddaughter, Krista Kelsey, Tucson; 14 step-grandchildren; and 12 step-great-grandchildren. She was the last of her immediate family.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Dr. Joel L. Zeiders, poastor of St. Matthew Lutheran Church officiating. Interment in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. There will be no viewing.
Arrangements have been entusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
