ELEANOR M. "MINNIE" FEDDER
Eleanor M. "Minnie" Fedder, age 87 of 30 Perry Ave., Bloomsburg died at 9:10 p.m. Wednesday July 4, 2012 at Columbia-Montour Hospice at Maria Hall, Danville.
Born in Rockford, IL on October 7, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Garfield Samuel and Mary (Chyko) Miller.
Eleanor resided in Bloomsburg most of her life and spent her early life in Beaver Twp. She graduated from the former Beaver Twp. High School and was employed at Bloom Mills, Inc. for 15 years until 1956.
She was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters, she was a founding member of the Columbia County Meals on Wheels Program and was an election worker for Montour Twp. for many years.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband Bruce D. Fedder on March 19, 1998 and by a brother Peter Miller.
Surviving are four children; Daphne wife of James Patrick O'Neal, Stafford, VA; Robert B. Fedder, Norwich, CT; Daniel J. Fedder, Bloomsburg; Mary Jane wife of Carl Kobeski, Factoryville, PA; 2 grandchildren; Krista Kobeski,Mt. View, CA; Justine Kobeski, Alexandria, PA, a brother George Miller and his wife Dorothy, Benton and a sister Helen Bellum, Bloomsburg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Columba Catholic Church, Third & Iron Sts., Bloomsburg with her pastor, Msgr. Robert E. Lawrence as celebrant. Interment will follow in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge.
The family will receive friends Friday (tonight) from 6-8 p.m. at the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg. A Christian Wake service will be held at 7:45 p.m.
