Eleanor B. (Reichard) Reese, age 93, of Bloomsburg, died unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, March 6, 2018
Born in Shickshinny on September 7, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Willard and Blanche (Kinney) Reichard. She was a 1943 graduate of Shickshinny High School and resided in Bloomsburg since 1944.
Eleanor was employed by the former Bell Telephone Co. for many years earlier in her life and in later years was employed at three Bloomsburg dress shops.
She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church and the Women's Civic Club. She was a member of the former Bloomsburg Elkettes for many years.
She and her beloved husband loved to dance, attend Penn State and Notre Dame football games and watch the New York Yankee's on television.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald C. Diltz in 1953 and by her second husband, Elwood M. "Bud" Reese, on February 9, 2013.
Eleanor is survived by three daughters: Diane E., wife of Darryl Keister, Selinsgrove; Kathleen J., wife of Danny Kashner, Bloomsburg; Robyn L.,, wife of J. Douglas Klingerman, Orangeville; two grandchildren: Amy Morrison, Charlestown, West Va. and Douglas A. Kashner, Bloomsburg; and two great-grandchildren: Courtney Gelety and Colton Gelety. She was the last of her immediate family.
Eleanor dearly loved her family and being with them and they all loved Ali, her cat.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg. Interment in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. Friends may call on Friday from 1-2 p. m.
