Eleanor L. Wolfe
Eleanor L. Wolfe, age 81, 22 Pepper Hills, Danville, died at her home at 6;35 p. m. Thursday, January 29, 2015, after having been in ill health for several years.
Born in Berwick on December 23, 1933, she was a daughter of the late George A. and Helen M. (Ogden) Lahr.
Eleanor was a 1951 graduate of Birdsboro High School, Birdsboro, Berks County and resided there until moving to Danville about 30 years ago.
She was last employed in the dietary department of Grandview Health Homes, Danville, retiring about 1998. Prior to that she was employed at the former Gold Star Nursing Home, also of Danville.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Wolfe in 1982.
Surviving is her friend, companion and caregiver, Leonard W. Shaffer, who resided with her.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing. Interment will be in the Mifflinville Cemetery, Mifflinville.
