ELIZABETH G. "Betty" BROUSE
Elizabeth G. "Betty" Brouse, age 84, 258 W. Fifth St., Bloomsburg, died at 1 a. m. Friday, August 26, 2011 at her home. She was in failing health for 18 years.
Born in Scott Township on July 27, 1927, she was a daughter of the late George and Dorris Marie (Robbins) Klinger. She was a lifelong resident of the Bloomsburg area and a 1945 graduate of the former Scott Township High School.
Betty was employed at the former J. S. Raub Shoe Store on Main Street, Bloomsburg as a sales clerk for 42 years, retiring in 1999.
She was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, Bloomsburg, for over 50 years, and was former Sunday school teacher.
She was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Z. Noss on February 4, 1984.
Betty is survived by her husband, Donald A. Brouse, with whom she celebrated her 35th wedding anniversary on February 5, 2011 and a brother, Donald Klinger and his wife Betty, Bloomsburg.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside funeral services on Monday at 2 p. m. in Elan Memorial Park, 5595 Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg (Lime Ridge) with her pastor, Rev. Jay E. Jones officiating. There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
