ELIZABETH C. "Liz" KEISER
Elizabeth C. "Liz" Keiser, age 99, 151 Eyer Street, Bloomsburg died at 10:57 a. m. Friday, September 2, 2011 in the emergency room of the Bloomsburg Hospital. She was in failing health for a number of years.
Born in Espy on July 16, 1912, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Julia (Parker) McBride. She resided in Bloomsburg since 1918 and was a 1930 graduate of Bloomsburg High School.
Liz was employed as the paymaster by Bloomsburg State College from 1962 to 1981 when she retired.
Earlier in her life she was a member of the former First Church of Christ and the Bloomsburg Hospital Auxiliary. She traveled extensively in the United States, Europe and the Caribean.
Liz was preceded in death by her husband, Pursel H. Keiser on July 15, 1973; by her only child, Pursel H. "Percey" Keiser, Jr. on August 21, 1998 and also by several sisters and brothers. She was the last of her immediate family and is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside services, Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in New Rosemont Cemetery, Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg (Espy) with the Rev. Allen F. Acor, pastor of the Mooresburg-Henrickson United Methodist Churches officiating. There will be no calling hours.
