Elizabeth E. Ridall, age 92, San Antonio, Texas, and formerly of Danville and Fishingcreek Township, died at 1:40 p. m. Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at the Heights On Huebner Long Term Care Center, San Antonio, where she was a patient since October 27, 2009.

Born on May 2, 1918 at Bethel Hill, Luzerne County, she was a daughter of the late Bruce O. and Lena D. (Dohl) Michael. She resided in San Antonio since September, 2003; Danville from 2000 to 2003; Fishingcreek Township near Jonestown from 1975 to 2000 and in Danville before that.

Elizabeth was last employed as a housekeeper at the former Holiday Inn, Danville and earlier was employed at the Danville State Hospital.

She was a member of the Jonestown United Methodist Church and attended the Southwest Baptist Church since living in San Antonio.

Elizabeth enjoyed time spent with her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also looked forward to spending time at the Patterson Grove Camp Meeting campground during the summer months.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Richard L. "Dick" Ridall, on Sept. 25, 2000; by a sister, Margaret Hontz; and five brothers: Carl W. Michael; James D. Michael, Sr.; Richard L. Michael; Henry Michael; and Charles Michael.

Elizabeth is survived by three children: Darwin W. Cooper, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Patricia, wife of Duane Scribner, with whom she last resided; David H. Cooper, and his wife Tana, Bloomsburg (Jerseytown); 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Benton, with her pastor, Rev. Darwin C. Goshorn officiating. Interment in Bethel Hill Cemetery, Fairmount Township, Luzerne County.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 6-8 p. m.
