Elizabeth Jane Schlegel

Elizabeth J. Schlegel, age 81, of Ridge St., Bloomsburg, passed away at 2:30 p.m. on November 19, 2019 at Bloomsburg Care & Rehabilitation. She had been a resident since November 8.

Born on November 15, 1938 in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late  Louis J. and Helen (Keple) Durich. She was a 1956 graduate of Liberty High School. Following graduation, she attended Scared Heart Hospital School of Nursing, Allentown, and then worked as a R.N. before retiring. 

Elizabeth was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Catasauqua.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Linford Schlegel, on August 8, 2014.

Surviving are two daughters: Deborah Gemmel, Bloomsburg and Theresa, wife of Martino DeRozario, Egg Harbor Twp., NJ; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Catherine, wife of Walter Rasile, Stanford, CT.

At her request, there will be a private interment in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem, at the convenience of the family.
