Ellen M. (O'Brien) Kemble

Ellen M. (O'Brien) Kemble, age 63, 222 Main St., Benton, died Friday, August 9, 2013 at the Watsontown Nursing & Rehabilitation  Center, Watsontown, where she was a patient since July 14th. She was in failing health for ten years.

Born in Philadelphia on Dec. 15, 1949, she was a daughter of the late William J. and Theresa (Morrissey) Coyle. She resided in Benton for the past five years and previously lived in South Philadelphia.

She was a 1968 graduate of St. Maria Goretti Catholic High School, Philadelphia.

Ellen was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, South Philadelphia.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Katie O'Brien in 2004 and by three brothers: William Coyle, John Coyle and Joseph J. Coyle.

Ellen is survived by her husband of 38 years, Charles J. Kemble;  two daughters: Kelly (O'Brien) Gavin, Bloomsburg and Erin Kemble, Benton; four grandchildren: Ryan C. Weiner, John W. Gavin, Casey K. Gavin, Cailin E. Gavin; and a sister, Theresa (Coyle), wife of Walter Patterson, Richmond, Va.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at 11 a. m. in St. Columba Catholic Church, 342 Iron St., Bloomsburg, by Msgr. Robert E. Lawrence.
