Elmer M. Golla, Jr.

Elmer M. Golla, Jr., age 77, of Hemlock Road, Catawissa, died on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the Rolling Pines Golf Course in South Centre Township.

Born in Bloomsburg on July 9, 1946, he was a son of the late Elmer M., Sr. and Lenore Golla. He was a 1964 graduate of the former Nescopeck High School.

Elmer was employed by PP & L Corp at their Washingtonville plant for 30 years, retiring in 2012.

He attended Christ Episcopal Church in Danville. An avid golfer he played at Rolling Pines several times a week. He was an animal lover, bringing strays home frequently and also having pets.

Elmer served his country faithfully for three years during the Vietnam era.

 He had a black belt in karate and at one time owned the Tang Soo Do Karate School in Catawissa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.

Surviving is his wife, the former Patricia A. Yodock, with whom he observed their 28^th wedding anniversary on February 18, 2023; five children: Emily Golla, Tony Golla, Tammy Golla, Stephanie Golla, Matthew Golla and his wife Jessie; five grandchildren; two step children: Edward Cecco and his wife Fran and Melissa Carl; and four step- grandchildren.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg.
