Eric L. Livsey

Eric L. Livsey, age 80, formerly of Bloomsburg and Catawissa died early Saturday evening, April 22, 2023, at the Weatherwood Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Weatherly where he resided for eight years.

Born in Bloomsburg on January 21, 1943, he was a son of the late Ernest and Esther S. (Eyerly) Livsey. He resided in Bloomsburg most of his life, moving to Catawissa in May, 2005. He was a 1961 graduate of Bloomsburg High School.

Eric was last employed by Wise Foods, Inc., Berwick, working there for 25 years before retiring in 2000. Earlier he was employed at the former Magee Carpet Co., Bloomsburg for 14 years.

He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Bloomsburg since 1954. Eric also belonged to the former Wynona Fire Co. of Bloomsburg for many years and the Bloomsburg Archery Club since 1957.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest R. Livsey and Edwin H. Livsey and by two sisters, Elsie M. Livsey and Evelyn Levan.

Eric is survived by his daughter, Kristene A., wife of John Reibsome of Danville; a granddaughter, Brittany, wife of Daniel Winnick, Lititz, a grandson, Nathan Reibsome and his wife Casandra of Bloomsburg; and five great-grandchildren: Chad, Taya, William, Wade and Madelyn.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg with Eileen Chapman officiating. Interment will follow in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. Friends may call from 10:30 to 11 a. m.
