ESTHER M. BROWN
Esther M. Brown, age 86, 68 Rohrsburg Road, Orangeville, died at 6 p. m. Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville where she was a patient for 12 days.
Born on April 19, 1925, in Lighstreet,she was a daughter of the late Ray N. and Edith Myrtle (Reese) Seybert. She resided in Orange Township since 1998 and previously lived on Buckhorn Road in Madison Township for many years.
She was last employed by the former Hanover Brands Foods, Bloomsburg, where she worked for about 15 years. Previously she was employed at the former Boone Nursing Home, Eyers Grove and the former Maple Crest Nursing Home, Bloomsburg.
Esther was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her large and extended family.
Her husband, John S. Brown, preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 1979. She also was preceded in death by two brothers: Kenneth E. Seybert and Robert J. Seybert and a half brother, Raymond Rogers.
Esther is survived by nine children: Robert E. Brown, and his companion, Joan Schechterly; Linda, wife of Glenn D. Titman; Sharon, wife of Harry W. Neufer, all of Bloomsburg; John Brown, Jr., and his wife Pamela, Danville; James N. Brown, at home; Edith, wife of Ronald Wegrzynowicz, Catawissa (Numidia); Terry N. Brown, and his wife Barbara; Connie J., wife of Terry Long; Kathy, wife of Chester Stigerwalt, all of Bloomsburg; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a brother, Jerry N. Seybert, and his wife Margaret; a sister, Dorothy N. Shuler,; and a half sister, Lillian Gross, all of Bloomsburg.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with the Rev. Allen F. Acor, pastor of the Mooresburg-Hendrickson United Methodist Churches officiating. Interment in Dutch Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 6-8 p. m. or Monday from 10-11 a. m. at the funeral home.
