Ethel G. Margerum, age 92, formerly of Yardley, PA died at 1:40 a. m. Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the Berwick Hospital Center, where she was admitted Tuesday. She had been a resident of the Orangeville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Orangeville, since June, 2000.
Born in Trenton, N.J. on Sept. 28, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Alonzo and Genevieve (Meyers) Perrin. She resided in Yardley from 1951 to 2000 when she entered the nursing home.
Ethel was a graduate of the Trenton Central High School, Trenton, N.J. She was a mother and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Robert A. Margerum on January 20, 2001 and also by a sister, Zelda Denson.
Ethel is survived by a son, Robert A. Margerum, Jr., and his wife Jean, Benton (Jamison City); two granddaughters: Rev. Barbara, wife of Rev. Nicholas Pence, Palm and Heather, wife of Jeffrey Stone, Cressona; and four great-grandchildren: Kate Pence, Nicholas Pence, Andrew Pence and James Stone. She was the last of her immediate family.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours or viewing.
