Eugene W. âGeneâ Kreamer, age 80, 507 Montour Blvd., Bloomsburg, died at 12:18 p. m. Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was in failing health since October, 2015.
Born in Bloomsburg on April 28, 1935, he was the son of the late Minnie A. Parks. He spent his life in the Bloomsburg area and was a 1953 graduate of Bloomsburg High School.
Gene began his working career at the former Magee Carpet Co. and later operated Kreamerâs Disposal Service, along with his wife, retiring in 1998.
He was a member of the Bloomsburg Christian Church; Bloomsburg Elks Lodge 436; Danville Moose; East End Fire Co., Danville; the Sons of American Legion Post 40, Danville; and Ft McClure Post 804, VFW, Bloomsburg. He enjoyed cooking, retirement and traveling with his wife, especially to Florida and Delaware.
Gene was preceded in death by six siblings: Garland E. Kreamer; Jane Parr; Wallace Eugene Kreamer; Harmon Kreamer; Leland Kreamer; and Margaret Kline.
Surviving are his wife, the former Darlene M. Kile, with whom he celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on May 28, 2015; a son, Dale Kreamer, and his wife Kathryn, Bloomsburg; a granddaughter, Stephanie Gordner, Allentown; a great- grandson, Ezekiel âZekeâ Gordner, Allentown; and two brothers: Rondo Paul Kreamer and Millard Kreamer.
Private services will be held from the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg. There will be no calling hours.
