Eva Mae Marks, age 81, 68 Shelly Circle, Lewisburg, died at 7:40 a.m. Sunday at Riverwoods in Lewisburg where she was a patient for two weeks.
Born in Fishingcreek Twp., Columbia Co., on October 8, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Solomon Frederick and Bertha B. (Musselman) Letteer. A 1948 graduate of Benton High School, she resided in Lewisburg for 6 years after having resided in New Columbia, Union County for 47 years.
Eva Mae was last employed by the former Zenith Corp., Watsontown and previously by the JPM, Corp., Lewisburg and Montgomery Mills, Inc., Montgomery.
She was a lifelong member of the Town Hill United Methodist church, Shickshinny.
Eva Mae enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and her friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Thomas H. Marks, on August 7, 2010.
Eva Mae is survived by a son, Jack F. Marks, Sunbury; a daughter, Jolene L., wife of Curtis W. O'Neil, Mifflinburg; and five grandchildren. She was the last of her immediate family.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. in the New Columbus Cemetery, Luzerne County (rural Stillwater), with the Rev. Daniel H. Hicks, pastor of the Buffalo Valley United Methodist Charge officiating. There will be no viewing.
