Faye I. Kostenbauder

Faye I. (Conrad) Kostenbauder, age 94, formerly of Aristes, died at 7:47 p. m. Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021 at the Mt. Carmel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Carmel, where she resided since September 2009.

Born in Centralia on November 20, 1926, she was a daughter of the late James and Alda (Keller) Conrad. She resided in Aristes most of her life and was a 1944 graduate of the former Centralia High School.

Faye was last employed by the former Emenee Shirt Factory in Catawissa and previously at the former Arrow Shirt Co. plant in Shamokin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Kostenbauder, on Dec. 22, 1982; by a son, Robert James Kostenbauder; by a daughter, Faye Coulter; by two grandsons: Scott Kostenbauder and Michael Alderson; by a brother, Wilbur Conrad and by a sister Arlene Zimmerman.

Surviving are three children: Linda, wife of Larry Sommers, Catawissa; Paul L. Kostenbauder, and his wife Sandra, Aristes; Judy Gratti, Coal Township; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was the last of her immediate family.

Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Zion Cemetery, Aristes.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
