Frances L. Nungesser
Frances L. Nungesser, age 99, formerly of Stony Brook Circle, Orangeville, died at 5:45 p. m. Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Orangeville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Orangeville, where she resided since September, 2013.
Born in Bloomsburg on July 5, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Mabel (Barton) Rupert. She spent most of her life in Bloomsburg and was a 1931 graduate of Berwick High School.
Frances was employed for over 20 years by Milco Industries, Inc., as a machine operator, retiring in the early 1970's.
She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Espy and previously was a longtime member of Wesley United Methodist where, she served as president of the Pals class of the Sunday school for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orval B. Nungesser on July 14, 1979 and by two sisters: Mary Barton Rupert and Regina Sutliff.
Frances is survived by two sons: Donald Burton Nungesser, Sr., and his wife Donna, Fredericksburg, Va; Ronald Lee Nungesser, and his wife Patricia, Dale City, Va.; a daughter, Gail Ann, wife of William Walter, Braidwood, Ill.; and many grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as a sister in law, Bonnie, wife of Wayne Girton, Greer, S.C.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with her pastor, Caleb J. Fritz officiating. Interment will be in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. There will be no viewing.
