Francis J. "Frank" Truskoloski
Francis J. "Frank" Truskoloski, age 75, 123 State Route 118 (Red Rock Corners), Benton, was lifted up on the wings of the angels on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he was admitted on Wednesday. His loving family was by his side.
He was born in Shenandoah on June 14, 1938, a son of the late Frank and Tessie S. (Zieminski) Truskoloski. He attended St. Casimir's School through the eighth grade and went on to graduate from J. W. Cooper High School, both in Shenandoah.
Frank was employed for many years by Atlantic Research, Gainesville, Va. until moving to Red Rock in 1972, where he operated Frank's General Store.
He attended Christ The King Catholic Church, Benton.
Frank served with the US Air Force in Japan.
Frank will be missed by his loving wife, the former Patsy Lechleitner, with whom he celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on October 12, 2013; his daughter, Sharon Truskoloski, at home; his son, Michael Truskoloski, wife Barbara, Scranton; a granddaughter, Morgan Truskoloski and a grandson, Joshua Truskoloski, both of Scranton, who were the apple of his eye.
He is also survived by several sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, many cousins, aunts, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Dorothy, who died in infancy and Patricia Morrision, and a brother-in-law, Robert Morrison.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 a. m. in Christ The King Catholic Church, Mendenhall Lane, Benton, by his pastor, Rev. Timothy D. Marcoe. Private interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Unityville. There will be a viewing at the church, Tuesday from 10 to 10:45 a. m.
The family will provide flowers.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Benton.
