Frank D. Frey, age 75, of 713 Zehner's-Rohrsburg Road, Orangeville, died at 10 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2006 in the Emergency Room of the Bloomsburg Hospital. He was in failing health for 1 1/2 years.
Born in Lancaster on February 25, 1931, he was a son of the late Henry and Frances (Nuss) Frey. He resided in Rohrsburg for the past 30 years and previously lived in Bloomsburg, Mainville and Danville.
Frank was employed by Kawneer Company Inc., Bloomsburg, for 18 years, retiring in 1993. Since retirement, he was employed part time in security at the Bloomsburg Fair and also at Knoebels Grove operating rides.
He served with the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.
He and his wife, the former Susan M. Bower, celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on October 20, 2005. Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters: April A., wife of John E. Green, Millville; Cindy L. Robbins, Troy; Brenda S., wife of Donnie Graves, Espy; a son, Frank D. Frey, Jr., wife Amy M., Turbotville; and ten grandchildren. He was the last of his immediate family.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kayla Marie Green; and a sister, Ella May Wardo.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc. Funeral Home, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg. The Rev. Allen F. Acor, pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ, Strawberry Ridge, will officiate. Interment will be in Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge. Friends may call at the funeral home 6-8 p.m. Friday.
