Frank L. Gregory, age 95, formerly of Lancaster County, died early Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2023, at the Maria Joseph Manor in Danville, where he resided since October 2019.
Born in Nescopeck, on Dec. 4, 1928, he was a son of the late George and Margaret (Gutschal) Gregory.
Frank proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Gregory.
He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service, last working at the Philadelphia Airport, before retiring after 34 years of service.
Surviving are his wife, the former Jean M. Smith, also a resident of Maria Joseph Manor, with whom he observed 74 years of marriage on July 7, 2023; three children: Malinda, wife of Dominic DiBella, of Strasburg, Leonard Gregory and his wife, Joanne, of Glenside, Steven Gregory and his wife, Brenda, of Tampa, Florida; two granddaughters: Danielle DiBella of New Zealand, and Nicole DiBella of Elkhart, Indiana; and a brother, Jack Gregory, and his wife, Delores, of Bloomsburg.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024, at 10 a.m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with the Rev. Dr. L. Lee Barnhart, pastor of the First English Baptist Church, officiating. Interment with military honors by the combined American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars honor guard will be in Creveling Cemetery, Almedia. The family will receive friends from 9-10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to a charity of the donor’s choice.
