Gail B. Ising, age 70, 340 N. Mulberry St., Berwick, died at 8:30 p. m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at her home after being in failing health for two months.
Born on June 26, 1943 in Jersey City, New Jersey, she was the only child of the late Rose Ann Coffman. She resided in Berwick for the past 30 years.
Gail was licensed as an EKG technician in the State of Jersey and was last employed briefly at the Berwick YMCA. She was an avid collector of antiques and unusual, but tasteful jewelry and also was an animal lover. She was totally devoted to her pet dogs and enjoyed feeding animal crackers to them. Gailâs sharp wit and keen eye for a diamond in the rough will be missed by her family.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jamie Browning, and a son, Daniel Ising.
Gail is survived by her loving husband, George W. Ising, with whom she celebrated her 47th wedding anniversary on April 15, 2014 and a son, George E. Ising, who resided with her.
At her request there will be no viewing or funeral services.
