Gale L. Leidy

Gale L. Leidy, age 64, 5007 Wood Road, Stewartstown, died at the York Hospital, Tuesday evening, October 3, 2017.  She had been in failing health since February.

Born in Burbank, Ill., December 1, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Helen (Stawiarski) Hervieux.

She was a 1970 graduate of Redis High School, Burbank, Ill. She resided in Stewartstown since July 1984

Gale was employed as a tax preparer for H&R Block for 35 years and 5 years for the Elgenfritz in Shrewsbury. She also was employed by Bon-Ton Store as a credit card collector for 15 years.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dallastown.

Gale enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed playing bingo.

She was preceded in death by a son; Kenneth Dale Leidy II on July 5, 2011.

Surviving are her husband, Kenneth D. Leidy, a Bloomsburg native,  with whom she observed her 46th wedding anniversary on September 11, 2017. Two daughters; Geri L. Leidy of Red Lion, Heather L. Leidy of York. Three grandchildren; Brice Leidy, Katherine Marie Leidy and Oliver Jameson Leidy; Five siblings; Deborah, wife of Darell Beasley, Kewanee, Ill., Phillip Hervieux, Sugar Land, TX., Brian Hervieux, Summit, Ill., Michell, wife of Harold Setterbo, Winter Haven, FL., Jacqueline, wife of Philip Downey., Minooka, Ill.; a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc Funeral Home and Cremation Service., 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, PA. with Monsignor Robert E. Lawrence officiating.

Interment in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg. Viewing Saturday, 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
