Gary E. Payne, age 48, 1962 Old Reading Road, Catawissa, died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 1:50 p. m.

Born in Bloomsburg on October 4, 1965, he was the son of Ronald D. Payne, Almedia and the late Shirley (Kitchen) Tyson. He resided at his present home for the past year and spent much of his prior life in the Bloomsburg area.

Gary attended Bloomsburg High School and the MTA Driving School, Harrisburg.

At the time of his death, he was employed for two years by Key Trucking Co., Danville and previously worked at the Alexander Auto dealership in Bloomsburg for a number of years.

Gary enjoyed camping and spending time around the campfire with his family and friends. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed woodworking, farming and gardening and was a former micro sprint race car driver.

Surviving in addition to his father, is his step mother Dawn; a son, Aaron J. Payne, Sugarloaf; his fiance', Nicole Bingaman, who resided with him; two step-daughters: Haylea Bingaman and Karlea Bingaman, both at home; a sister: Sherry, wife of Robert Sax, Plains; two brothers: Dale Payne, Wasilla, Alaska; Randy Payne, and his wife Gloria, Bloomsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 4 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with the Rev. Allen F. Acor, pastor of the Mooresburg-Hendrickson United Methodist Churches officiating.
