George F. Bosher, age 84, of 242 Ellis Turner Road, Bloomsburg, died at 10:20 a. m. Thursday, August 15, 2019 in the emergency room of the Geisinger-Bloomsburg Hospital.
Born in Philadelphia on July 21, 1935, he was a son of the late Albert and Cecelia (Mellett) Bosher. He attended Girard College, Philadelphia, before graduating from South Philadelphia High School in 1953.
He proudly served in the U. S. Army from 1958 to 1960 with the 82nd Airborne Division and following his discharge he was employed as a pipefitter at the Philadelphia Navy Ship Yard.
George earned both his B. S. and M. S. degrees in education from Temple University. He taught in the Philadelphia School System for 30 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Wanda Williams, in 1992, after a marriage of 24 years.
George is survived by his companion of 26 years, Joan Powell; a son, Michael Bosher, Turtle Creek; four daughters: Nancy, wife of James Boyd, Hanover; Kathleen, wife of Roger Ciambella, Toms River, N.J.; Lisa, wife of John Volpe, Woodlyn; Sharon, wife of Lou deFonteny, Warminster; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and countless loving memories.
Private interment services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
