GEORGE F. KNOUSE

George F. Knouse, age 60, 7465 Columbia Blvd., Berwick, died at his home on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 after an illness.

He was born in Nanticoke on January 15, 1950, the son of the late Delbert and June D. (Girton) Knouse. He resided on Frosty Valley Road, Bloomsburg for many years prior to moving to Berwick.

George held various jobs as a laborer in the Bloomsburg area.

Suerviving are his wife, the former Cleota Auchter, with whom he would have celebrated his 25th wedding anniversary on May 10, 2010; a brother Joseph Knouse, Harrisburg and a sister, Rita I., wife of Matthew E. Mensch, Bloomsburg; several step siblings and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald H. Shultz, Jr.; his step father, Donald H. Shultz, Sr. and step mother, Elsie Long.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday at 10 a. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with the Rev. Allen F. Acor, pastor of the Mooresburg-Hendrickson United Methodist Churches officiating.
