Georgina Robles, age 99, formerly of Catherine St., Bloomsburg, died at 11:23 p. m. Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the Balanced Care At Bloomsburg nursing facility in Scott Township.
Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico on August 22, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Gregorio and Inocencia (Dieppa) Torres. She resided in Bloomsburg since 2008 and previously lived in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn, New York.
She was employed as a practical nurse while residing in Puerto Rico. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Idalia "Ida" Robles on April 2, 2013. She formerly resided in Bloomsburg.
A devout Catholic, she attended St. Columba Catholic Church, Bloomsburg, when she was able.
Among her survivors are twins: Laura, wife of William Reilly, Gallatin, Tenn. and Segismundo Robles, and his wife Janet, Florissant, Colo.; and a number of grandchildren.
A private Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Columba Catholic Church with the Rev. Mgsr. Robert E. Lawrence officiating. Interment will be made in Florissant, Colo. at the convenience of the family
