Gladys V. Utt

Gladys V. (Artley) Utt, age 84, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021, at the Bloomsburg Care & Rehabilitation Center, where she had been a resident for several years.

Born on November 11, 1936 in Bloomsburg, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Lillian (Marks) Artley. Gladys resided in Bloomsburg since 1980.

She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Bloomsburg.

Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, William Ziegler Utt, on February 26, 1984; a son, Timothy W. Utt; and two brothers: Thomas Artley and Raymond Artley.

Surviving are her two children: Tammy J. Long, of Arkansas, and Scott J. Utt, and his fiancé Rebecca R. Rekasie, of Sewickley; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren: Bry’leigh Briggs and Ali’annah Briggs; and a brother, Kenneth Artley, of Catawissa.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 in the Dean W. Kriner Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with Rev. Dr. Joel L. Zeiders, of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Bloomsburg, officiating. Interment will be held in Lightstreet “Highland” Cemetery. Viewing on Friday from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
