Glen H. Shaw, age 77, 223 Stony Brook Road, Orangeville, died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, July 14, 2018.
Born in Waller on November 21, 1940, he was a son of the late Lawrence Halbert and Alberta Louise (Hartman) Shaw. He was a resident of the Orangeville area since 1966.
Glen was a 1958 graduate of Benton High School and also graduated from the former Williamsport Area Community College. He was employed as a carpenter working through Carpenters Union Local 645 of Scranton.
He was an active member of the Orangeville United Church where he served on the Consistory, was a trustee and also a Sunday school teacher. He served on the board of the Laurel Hill Cemetery Association and was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Glen loved gardening and always had beautiful flowers beds. He enjoyed hunting with his dog Duke and grandsons Cody and Jake and bicycle riding with his granddaughter McKenzie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence B. Shaw and Thomas G. Shaw.
Surviving are his wife, the former Betty Jean Belles, with whom he celebrated his 52nd wedding anniversary on May 28, 2018; a daughter, Kelly, wife of David Klinger, Berwick; three grandchildren: Cody Klinger, Jake Klinger, and McKenzie Klinger, all of Berwick; two sisters: Sarah L. Seeley, Greenville and Beverly, wife of Keith L. Edwards, Stillwater (New Columbus); a brother, Lloyd R. Shaw, and his wife Jackie Lee, Springville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with Pastor Scott Lyons of the Stillwater Christian Church officiating. Interment in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Orangeville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10-11 a. m.
