Gordon R. Ernest, IV, age 20, 355 Klein Road, Danville, passed from his earthly home into his heavenly home on Saturday, May 11, 2013 in Sunbury.
Born in Mahoning Twp., Montour Co., on Aug. 25, 1992, he was a son of Gordon R., III and Cindy (Keefer) Ernest of Danville. He had resided in the Danville area all of his life.
Gordon enjoyed sports, especially baseball and basketball, and he liked to skateboard.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Stacieann Ernest; and maternal grandfather, Charles Keefer.
Surviving in addition to his parents; a son, Carson Deibert, Sunbury; siblings: Roger J. Miller, Bloomsburg; Nathan A. Miller, Danville; Jennifer Ernest, Bloomsburg and Melissa, wife of Jeffrey Jacobson, Bloomsburg; maternal grandmother, Judy Keefer Strickland, Danville; paternal grandparents, Gordon R., Jr. and Alma Ernest; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Memorial services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday in Shiloh United Church of Christ, 500 Bloom Street, Danville, with Rev. Mary B. Schmotzer officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1715 Bloom Road, Danville.
