Grace E. Bogart, age 89, of 91 W. Pebble Lane (Stony Brook Circle), Orangeville, died at 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015 in Orangeville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, where she was a guest since December 4, 2012.
Born in Bloomsburg on January 1, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Edgar F. and Margaret (Leighow) Shaffer. A 1944 graduate of the former Scott Township High School, she spent her lifetime in the Bloomsburg and Lightstreet areas.
Earlier in life Grace worked for the former Riegel Shirt Factory Catawissa, for many years, and later worked part-time at the former Suntex, Bloomsburg.
She was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, Bloomsburg.
Grace enjoyed her grandchildren, and liked to cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee H. Bogart on November 19, 2002; and a son, Gary Bogart in 1991.
Surviving is a son, Lee H. Bogart, Jr., wife June âJessieâ, Berwick; a daughter, Michelle L., wife of James Hileman, Orangeville; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother, Glenn Shaffer, wife Barbara, Bloomsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. in Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, 706 Central Road, Bloomsburg, with her pastor, Rev. John D. Kolenda officiating. Interment in Creveling Cemetery, Almedia. Viewing at the church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday.
