Grace B. Thrasher, age 100, 31 Williamsburg Blvd., Bloomsburg (Buckhorn) died at 9:53 a.m. Friday, January 16, 2015 at the Emmanuel Center for Nursing, Danville, where she was a guest for three years.
Born in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey on February 11, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Alfred T. and Emily (Jesty) Brown. She was a graduate of Ridgewood High School, Ridgewood, N.J. in 1932 and also of Elmira College, Elmira, N.Y.
Grace resided in Bloomsburg since 2009 and previously lived in Concord, N.C. from 1986 to 2009; Montrose, Pa. from 1955 to 1986; and Glen Rock, N.J. prior to that.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Thrasher on May 5, 1995.
Surviving are two sons: Alan Thrasher, and his wife Mary, Vancouver, British Columbia and Daniel A. Thrasher, and his wife Karen, Bloomsburg; a daughter, Joan T., wife of Roger Zeisloft, Bloomsburg; seven grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jessie Weddle, St. Michaels, Md.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing. Interment will be at All Saints Memorial Garden, Concord, N.C.
