GRIER A. SHULTZ
Grier A. Shultz, age 53, Jacksonville, Fla., and formerly of Danville, died at his home on Monday, May 14, 2012.
Born in Danville on April 23, 1959, he was a son of the late Clifford G. and Olive A. (Peeling) Shultz. He resided in Jacksonville for the past year and previously spent most of his life in Danville.
Grier was a 1977 graduate of the Columbia Montour Vocational Technical School. Prior to being disabled he was employed by the former Strick Manufacturing Co., near Washingtonville.
He was a member of the Frank Sidler Post 40, American Legion, Danville and also of Post 88 in Jacksonville, Fla. and the Danville Moose Lodge 1133.
Grier served in the U. S. Marine Corps following school for four years.
Surviving are three children: Ricky Shultz, Sunbury; Jasmine Shultz, Bloomsburg; Kayla Shultz, Sunbury; a grandson, Keaton Havay, Bloomsburg; three brothers: Clifford G. Shultz, and his wife Linda, Bloomsburg; Stanford P. Shultz, and his wife Joan, State of Washington; Kenneth M. Shultz, and his wife Mary, Danville; and two sisters: Janelle Nigro, New Jersey and Molly A. Shultz, and her companion Ray Smith, Danville.
Friends and relatives are invited to an informal gathering in celebration of Grierâs life to be held at the Frank Sidler Post 40, American Legion, 175 Northumberland St., Danville on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 4:30 p. m. Full military honors will be accorded. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Danville.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1715 Bloom Road, Danville.
