Harold J. Hill, age 72, 648 Main Mifflin Road, Bloomsburg, died at 10:20 p. m. Friday, February 24, 2017 at the Geisinger Bloomsburg Health Care Center. He was in failing health for three years.
Born in Berwick on October 22, 1944, he was a son of the late Charles and Carrie Hill. He resided in Mifflin Township for the past two years and spent most of his prior life in Berwick.
Harold was last employed as a gas station attendant at several area gas stations and convenience stores. Earlier he owned Hill Sanitation, Berwick, for many years. He also was employed by Potter's Produce Stand on US Route 11.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association and a life member of the Reliance Fire Co., Berwick.
Harold enjoyed hunting and raising chickens.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Vickie Poage, on September 28, 2011; by three sisters: Irene Fish, Beverly Ridall and Lois Roberts; and by a brother Vernon Hill.
Harold is survived by twin daughters: Brenda, wife of Mark Kramer, Orwigsburg and Wendy, wife of Daniel Lytle, League City, Tex.; a son, Bryan Adams, and his companion Keith Hair, San Antonio, Tex., two brothers: Herbert Fish, and his wife Elizabeth, Berwick; Loren Fish, and his wife Barbara, Orangeville; a sister Cindy, wife of Larry Young, Millville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6-8 p. m. at the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg.
