Harry R. Blom

Harry R. Blom, age 68, 3520 W. 62nd Place, Chicago, Ill. died at 4:15 p. m. Saturday, January 21, 2017 while a patient in the Hospice Unit of Holy Cross Hospital, Chicago.

Born on April 17, 1948 in Chicago, he was the son of the late Jay D. and Geraldine L. (Rider) Blom.  His mother was a Bloomsburg native. His father was a career military member and he lived in a number of places before returning to Chicago. He received a B. S. degree from DePaul University, Chicago and also attended Indiana University.

Harry was last employed in the Information Technology Department of the former Helene Curtis Co., Chicago.

Surviving are his spouse, Gilbert Bernal, Chicago; a brother, Reed Leonard Blom, and his wife Susan, Forest Hill, Maryland and his sister Judith Ann., wife of Dean Delach, Farmington, Conn.

Private services will be held and interment will be in New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy.
