Harry D. âButchâ Kreisher, age 65, of 935 Ext. East 8th Street, Bloomsburg, died Sunday, February 20, 2011, at Vintage Knolls Assisted Living, Danville, where he had been a resident for the past month.
Born February 14, 1946, in Bloomsburg, he was the son of the late Russel Kreisher and Lois (Applegate) Frederick.
Mr. Kreisher graduated from Bloomsburg High School in 1964. He was a career truck driver who retired from Wise Foods-Snacks. After his retirement from Wise, he worked part-time as a Parking Enforcement Officer with the Bloomsburg Police Department.
He was an avid golfer and fisherman who enjoyed time with his family and friends. He was a member of the American Legion Post #273, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #804, and the Bloomsburg Firemanâs Relief Association.
Mr. Kreisher is survived by his brother Norman âRedâ Kreisher and wife Mary, Bloomsburg; a nephew Todd Kreisher, Crofton, MD; three nieces: Melinda (Kreisher) Lee and husband Scott, Bowie, MD; Rebecca (Kreisher) Clark, Northville, MI; and Maureen Kreisher, Youngstown, OH; five great-nephews: Brandon and Austin Kreisher, Robert Clark, Cory and Zachery McBride; and two great-nieces: Rachelle Clark and Claudia Lee.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Sonny and Larry Kreisher; and nephew Vincent Kreisher.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, February 26, 2011, at the Dean W. Kriner, Inc. Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 325 Market Street, Bloomsburg, with Rev. Joel L. Zeiders, pastor of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Bloomsburg, officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the memorial service from 11:00 am â 12:00 noon.
