Helen M. (Beishline) Lindenmuth, age 95, of 120 Maple Tree Road, Catawissa, passed away at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville at 6 a. m. Monday, February 14, 2022.
She was born in Fishingcreek Township on December 4, 1926 a daughter of the late Levi Clayton and Pauline M. (Young) Beishline. She was a 1944 graduate of Benton High School and resided in Benton prior to moving to the Catawissa area in 1968.
A 95th birthday celebration was held in December for Helen where she enjoyed being with her family and many dear friends. She was loved by all who knew her and Helen loved and cherished her family and the time she spent with them.
Helen was employed at the former First Eastern Bank in Bloomsburg from 1968 to 1987. She served as the Locust Township secretary from 1989 to 2009. Earlier she was employed at the former Little Lumber Co., Benton and also at the Benton Area School District.
She was an active member of the Numidia Valley Bible Fellowship Church where she assisted in various Church activities. Her hobbies were reading, baking and assembling jigsaw puzzles. She enjoyed working on the family farm where she resided until her death. Helen enjoyed listening to the Southern Columbia High School football games and watching the Penn State football games and the Pittsburgh Steelers games on television.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Jay C. Lindenmuth, on October 14, 2008; by two sisters: Jeanne Kindig and Evelyn Dawn Bankoski and by two brothers: Clayton (Jr.) Beishline and Robert W. Beishline.
Surviving are four daughters: Jeanne, wife of Ned Lindemuth, Catawissa; Nancy, wife of Theodore Furdyn, Catawissa; Susan, wife of Stuart Whittaker, Renton, Wash.; Donna, wife of Dennis Rhodes, Jerseytown; six grandchildren: Christine, wife of Michael Horne, Americus, Ga.; Nicholas Furdyn and his companion Leah, Americus, Ga.; Wes Lindemuth, and his wife Susan, Franklin Lakes, N.J.; Bret Lindemuth and his wife, Stephanie, Franklin Lakes, N.J.; Erin Whittaker, Sherman Oaks, Calif.; Shane Whittaker, Renton, Wash; five great-grandchildren: Lane, Hannah, Luke, Sienna and Leah; a brother, William W. Beishline, and his wife Janet, Stillwater (Bendertown) and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Geisinger Dialysis Center on Justin Drive, Danville for the wonderful care Helen received over the past 10 years.
A Celebration in honor of Helen’s life will be scheduled in Spring.
