Henry G. Bellum, Sr., age 70, 2016 Old Berwick Road, Bloomsburg, died at his home Friday, Aug. 12, 2011. He had been in failing health for a month.
Born in Beaver Twp., Columbia County on July 22, 1941, he was a son of the late Phillip R., Sr. and Dorothy (Buehler) Bellum. He had lived in the Bloomsburg area his entire life.
Henry was employed by Rosemont Cemetery Company, Bloomsburg for 44 years, retiring in 2007.
Henry loved to hunt, fish and work in the garden; but he most treasured spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Henry G. Bellum, Jr. on June 19, 2009; a brother, Phillip Bellum, Jr. in 2008; and by a brother-in-law, Charles Edwards in April 2011.
Surviving is his wife, the former Mary M. Brooking, with whom he would have celebrated 50 years of marriage on Feb. 24, 2012; two daughters: Dena M., wife of Brian L. Kishbaugh, Nescopeck and Denise J., wife of Christopher Leiby, Nescopeck; four grandchildren: Tyler L. and Angelie Kishbaugh; and Latisha and Latia Leiby; sister, Virginia, wife of George Johns, Lime Ridge; brother, Richard Bellum, Bloomsburg; sister-in-law, Janet Bellum, Zionâs Grove; and several nieces and nephews.
