ILSE C. KASHNER
Ilse C. Kashner, age 84, formerly of Red Maple Lane, Bloomsburg, died at 12:50 a. m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at the Orangeville Nursing & Rehabilitatiopn Center, Orangeville, where she resided since October, 2005.
Born in Frankfurt, Germany on March 28, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Dora (Schlitt) Leidenheimer. She resided in the Bloomsburg area since 1985 and previously lived in the Chicago, Ill. area for many years.
She as of the Catholic faith.
Ilse was preceded in death by her husband, J. Richard "Dick" Kashner, a retired employee of the Press Enterprise newspaper, on Sept. 7, 2005.
She was the last of her immediate family having been preceded in death by her siblings who all resided in Germany.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 3 p. m. in the Dean W. Kriner, Inc., Funeral Home & Cremation service, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with the Rev. Joseph H. Fennessy, retired Catholic priest, officiating. Interment in Creveling Cemetery, Almedia.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:30 to 3 p. m. Friday.
